Hardcastle Crags (National Trust)
Hardcastle Crags is a beautiful wooded valley consisting of 400 acres of unspoilt woodland. At its center is Gibson Mill, a 19th century cotton mill now redeveloped as an interactive visitor experience for sustainable development. With no mains services the Mill generates its own electricity on site using renewable resources.

Stubbing Wharf Cruises
Regular 30-minute scenic canal cruises from the Stubbing Wharf, including Sunday lunch and afternoon teas.

Hebden Bridge Picture House

Heptonstall Museum and Village
Overlooking Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall attractions include the Heptonstall Museum, housed in the old village grammar school, the ruined 13th Century Church of St Thomas a Beckett, and the Octagonal Chapel, the oldest Methodist Chapel still in use today.

Pennine Way
Britain's first National Trail, the Pennine Way, and the Calderdale Way which is a 50 mile circular route around the Calder Valley, provide a variety of outdoor pursuits right on the doorstep.

Mytholmroyd

Mytholmroyd is a small village between Cragg Vale and Hebden Bridge. There is an active and innovative business community set amongst beautiful picturesque hills. Historically, Mytholmroyd was the home of David Hartley, or King David - the leader of The Cragg Coiners. Culturally, it was also the birthplace of the late poet laureate Ted Hughes who died in 1998. His first wife Sylvia Plath is buried in nearby Heptonstall. Regular Ted Hughes events take place in Mytholmroyd. The canal which runs through Mytholmroyd is particularly picturesque, and it is a very pleasant walk to either Hebden Bridge or Sowerby Bridge.

Haworth

Haworth is situated at the edge of the Pennine moors, and has been made famous by the Bronte sisters. It is now a major tourist attraction with the Bronte Parsonage Museum and many gift shops and cafes.

Halifax

The Piece Hall
The Piece Hall is one of the most significant and complete Georgian buildings in Britain. Dating back to 1779, it now houses the Halifax Visitor Centre and Art Gallery and around 40 unique shops and cafes.

Dean Clough
Once the largest carpet mill in the world, Dean Clough is now a nationally renowned business park and visitor attraction. It houses one of the UK's largest private art galleries and holds regular jazz concerts, theatre productions, comedy nights and has a café, restaurant and crafts/gift shop.

Shibden Hall
Shibden Hall, a family home for over 500 years, is now a museum that provides an insight into the lives of those who have lived there.

Eureka

Todmorden

Todmorden is a thriving market town nestling between three valleys on the Yorkshire/Lancashire borders. The canal which runs through Todmorden is very picturesque with many narrow boats along the way.

Skipton

Skipton is a country market town, up in the Pennines, at the southern base of the Yorkshire Dales. It's a small, friendly town with a population of around 16,000. It has history, a castle, cobbled streets, ducks and canal boats. It's a pretty town to walk around, and gets thousands of visitors.
